In Denmark, as well as in many other small countries like Norway, Finland and Sweden, consumers place a large proportion of web purchases outside their own borders. In comparison, local Danish webshops do not at all attract the same number of foreign customers.
This fact is important and also a little worrying and leads to the question:
How can we increase Danish online export, in order to better balance the online import and export?
The Trade Council – the export and investment organisation within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – has decided to develop a special version of their successful Vitus export programme* called eVitus.
MakesYouLocal has been selected by The Trade Council as their partner to facilitate the program and guide the Danish companies in their international expansion. We will bring in our vast expertise in cross border e-commerce and look forward to helping the ambitious companies in improving Danish online export.
We hope Danish companies will apply for the eVitus programme, as a way to kick start their international online expansion. It is a unique way to get access to relevant specialists in the online disciplines as well as the local competences in the target country.
If you represent a Danish company considering online expansion to one or several new countries, we highly recommend you to read more about eVitus by clicking here. We hope you will consider joining!
